AFTER finishing the 2008-09 season in fourth position, Fairfield Phoenix's under-16 division one team have started the season with a bang. The Phoenix sit on top of the competition after five rounds, with three wins, one loss and one draw. They defeated reigning premiers East Hill Cougars 18-3 a fortnight ago before settling for a 5-5 draw against the Mustangs at Fairfield Park last Saturday.
