Vietnamese CD for addicts' families

08 Apr, 2008 11:00 PM
COMMUNITY groups have compiled a Vietnamese-language CD to help the families of drug addicts and alcoholics.

Health Minister Reba Meagher, the state MP for Cabramatta, launched the New Journey drug and alcohol information CD at the Cabramatta Community Centre on March 28.

The CD is based on an SBS Radio series and was developed by the Vietnamese Drug and Alcohol Workers Network. Ms Meagher said the CD gave the background on drug culture in Australia, information on how families react and cope with a relative's drug use and outlines current drug treatments.
