THREE police officers injured in a car accident on

their way to a hot-air balloon crash landing will

return to work later this week.

The Fairfield officers collided with a Honda CRV at a set of traffic lights at the Horsley Drive and Mimosa Road on Sunday morning.

All sustained minor injuries.

The police were responding to a distress call from

a hot-air balloon that had been blown off course

and was heading towards the AGL gas works.

The balloon crash-landed in a dam in Horsley

Park.

Man robs brothel

Police are seeking a man in connection with an armed robbery of a licensed brothel in Fairfield on Thursday night.

The man, described as Asian, 20 to 25-years-old with black shoulder length hair, skinny and wearing blue jeans and a blue jumper threatened the receptionist with a sharp object about 11.40pm.

He escaped on foot with a sum of money from the Allen Street premises.

Man in hospital

A 22-year-old man has been taken to hospital after

crashing his car in two separate accidents on Saturday

night. About 7.30pm, the driver's Subaru WRX hit a car at the intersection of Sackville Street and Freeman Court at Canley Vale, before driving into Queen Street where it crashed into another three cars parked on the street and in a driveway.

The driver and his two passengers, also aged in their 20s, were taken to Liverpool Hospital with various minor

injuries while the driver and passengers from the first

incident were treated for shock.

The driver was tested for blood alcohol levels and will be

interviewed by investigators from Cabramatta Local

Area Command upon his release from hospital.

Robbery

On Monday at 4.40pm, a woman was standing at the cash register of a business on Longfield Street Cabramatta and went to a back room.

Two men entered and selected some ice creams.

They then went to the front counter and one man gave the victim the money for the ice cream.

The other man then produced a firearm from his pants pocket and pointed it at the victim.

She screamed loudly and then ran through a door behind her.

The men then tried to grab the cash register but it was dropped during an attempt to open it.

They then fled the scene in a blue Honda - possibly an Integra model.

Police are looking for an Asian male, 20-30 years old, 165cm tall, short black hair, wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. Also another Asian man, 20-30 years of age, 165cm tall, short black hair and wearing a white shirt.
