VICKY Mycio has already attracted more than 70 supporters on her ``Save Fairfield City Farm'' Facebook group in the last week.
``I decided to create the group after reading comments on the Fairfield Champion's website from people who have enjoyed the farm so much,'' she said.
Ms Mycio said she wanted to invite ``as many friends, family, neighbours, anybody to get the numbers up and prove that the farm is worth saving''.
She said the farm was a place that bought a lot of memories.
``I loved going to the farm for special occasions and I thought it was such a shame to hear it may be closing for good. My cousin got married at the farm, I was her flower girl,'' she said. ``I also attended playgroup there, charity auctions and the monthly craft market days.''
Ms Mycio said there should be more investigation into ways the farm could make money to stay open.
``If we could have the craft markets happening again the farm would have enough money to stay open and running,'' she said.
Ms Mycio said the entry fee probably drove families away.
``For an average family of four it can be quite costly an adult entry fee is $16, children are $10 or a family ticket is $45.
``That is quite steep.
``On Australia Day, entry is free and there are so many people attending we have to park many streets away.''
